The designing of a website usually follows a natural flow of fleshing out function, then structure, then aesthetic.
- First, we want to outline what features & content the site needs to contain.
- Then we can consider how to best organize these features & content.
- Our concept of organization allows us to decide upon the site architecture, i.e. number of pages, types of pages, navigation system, to CMS or not to CMS, etc.
- With the site architecture mapped out, we can now style how we want the site to look.
This design process is easiest when client and site developer work together to discuss possibilities and draw out the best fit for what the client wants.
